SFTA Chamonix 2025

Chers congressistes, chers collègues,

Le congrès de la SFTA se tiendra en 2025 à Chamonix, ville emblématique des Alpes réputée pour son riche patrimoine alpin et son histoire dans l’alpinisme et les sports de montagne, du 24 au 27 mars.

Cette édition exceptionnelle sera organisée conjointement avec la Toxicological Society of Belgium and Luxembourg (BLT), avec la participation de plusieurs partenaires, dont la Société de Toxicologie Clinique (STC) et le Réseau National d’Addictovigilance (CEIP). Ce rendez-vous incontournable se déroulera au Centre des Congrès LE MAJESTIC, en plein cœur de Chamonix.

Le programme scientifique s’annonce particulièrement riche, avec des thèmes traditionnels de toxicologie médico-légale et clinique, mais également des sujets d’actualité, tels que l’Intelligence Artificielle (IA) et ses applications en toxicologie.

Un symposium international dédié à l’analyse des cheveux sera organisé pour célébrer les 30 ans de cette discipline, avec la participation de conférenciers internationaux de renom. Une diffusion en direct sera également programmée pour ceux qui ne pourront se joindre à nous sur place.

La session de Développement Professionnel Continu (DPC) abordera cette année un sujet d’une grande actualité, La soumission chimique : Repérage et conduite à tenir face aux violences ou suspicions de violence faites aux adultes. Cette session sera suivie d’une table ronde animée par des experts.

Un espace sera également dédié aux Jeunes Scientifiques, sous forme de symposium, favorisant les échanges dans une ambiance conviviale autour de leurs travaux.

Des workshops, proposés par nos partenaires industriels, viendront rythmer nos sessions scientifiques en présentant les dernières innovations analytiques et leurs applications en toxicologie.

Pour la première fois, l’Assemblée Générale de la SFTA se tiendra durant le congrès, permettant une plus large participation des membres. Nos collègues de la BLT organiseront également leur assemblée générale en parallèle.

Ce congrès ne se limitera pas à son programme scientifique. Fidèle à la tradition de la SFTA, le programme social sera tout aussi attrayant. Nous aurons l’occasion de déguster les spécialités savoyardes de la région, et la soirée de remise des prix, qui marquera officiellement la fin du congrès, vous réserve de nombreuses surprises.

Dear attendees, dear colleagues,

The 2025 SFTA Congress will be held in Chamonix, an iconic Alpine town renowned for its rich alpine heritage and its history in mountaineering and mountain sports, from March 24 to 27.

This exceptional edition will be organized in collaboration with the Toxicological Society of Belgium and Luxembourg (BLT), with the participation of several partners, including the Société de Toxicologie Clinique (STC) and the Réseau National d’Addictovigilance (CEIP). This highly anticipated event will take place at the LE MAJESTIC Convention Center, located in the heart of Chamonix.

The scientific program promises to be particularly rich, featuring traditional themes in forensic and clinical toxicology, as well as new topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in toxicology. 

An international symposium dedicated to hair analysis will be organized to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this discipline, with the participation of renowned international speakers. A live broadcast will also be scheduled for those unable to join us in person.

The Continuing Education session will address a highly relevant topic this year: Drug Facilitated Crimes (DFC): Identification and management of violence or suspected violence against adults. This session will be followed by a roundtable discussion with expert panelists. 

A space will also be dedicated to Young Scientists, in the form of a symposium, encouraging networking and discussion of their work in a friendly environment.

Workshops, offered by our industrial partners, will punctuate the scientific sessions, showcasing the latest analytical innovations and their applications in toxicology. 

For the first time, the SFTA General Assembly will be held during the congress, allowing for broader member participation. Our colleagues from the BLT will also hold their general assembly in parallel.

This congress will not be limited to its scientific program. True to SFTA tradition, the social program will be equally appealing. We will have the opportunity to enjoy the renowned Savoyard cuisine, and the awards ceremony, which will officially mark the end of the congress, promises plenty of surprises.

We hope to see many of you at the foot of Mont-Blanc this spring of 2025.
